Unicyte AG conducts pre-clinical research in the field of regenerative medicine, including stem cell technologies.

At the same time, Unicyte acknowledges the ethical controversies surrounding the use and derivation of stem cells from certain sources.

Therefore, research with human stem cells is only conducted with careful consideration of ethical and legal standards.

Unicyte has been implemented with the clear guideline of conducting research only with stem cells derived from adult tissue (e.g., adult liver stem cells, mesenchymal stem cells or kidney cancer stem cells).

Unicyte conducts contract research in collaboration with various academic centers and industrial partners to explore the therapeutic potential of adult stem cells in multiple indications such as renal care, liver disorders, cancer and diabetes.

The use of stem cells or tissue derived from human embryos or fetuses is explicitly banned from all research and development activities of Unicyte.
